Massage Therapy

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy consists of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, including the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, for the purpose of optimizing health and function.

How Massage Therapy can help:

Therapists usually begin by asking patients about symptoms, medical history, and desired results. They may also perform an assessment through touch to locate tense areas and determine how much pressure to apply.

The massage therapist works to find a position that is most comfortable for you, and will discreetly expose areas requiring hands-on work. An average massage session lasts one hour, however, 45 minute sessions are available as well, depending on your specific needs and what is recommended by the therapist.

We offer massage therapy two afternoon/evenings a week. Our licensed massage therapist works closely along side our physiotherapists to determine the best overall care for our patients if both services are combined.
